dc.description.abstractThis Open Educational Resource (OER) provides a foundational introduction to the field of networking, designed for undergraduate students in software engineering, and Information technology disciplines. The resource materials cover essential topics including an overview of computer networks, their importance, components, and basic functionalities. Topics such as network architecture, protocols and the TCP/IP reference model will be covered to understand how successful communication takes place over a network. The different layers of the OSI model will also be covered. Emphasizing conceptual understanding and practical applications using Cisco Packet Tracer Software, the OER integrates study materials, videos, examples and lab tutorials, to support self-paced and guided learning
