| dc.description.abstract | This unit aims to provide the students with a broad based introduction to ergonomics principles and its application in the design of work, equipment and the workplace. Specific consideration is given to musculoskeletal disorders, manual handling, ergonomic aspects of the environment, as well as to the social aspects and relevant standards. At the end of the unit, the students will be able to understand the purpose and concept of ergonomics principles to promote safety and health at the workplace and to explain on the steps in an Ergonomics Risk Assessment. | |
