Abstract
Academic listening is a crucial skill for students in both online and face-to-face settings, enabling them to effectively absorb and comprehend complex information delivered during lectures and discussions. Mastery of this skill involves the ability to focus attentively, process spoken content critically, and make meaningful connections with prior knowledge. In online environments, academic listening requires heightened concentration and the ability to navigate various digital platforms. Face-to-face interactions, on the other hand, demand active participation and engagement in real-time discussions. The key objective is to enhance students' ability to understand and retain information, thereby improving their academic performance.
