Abstract
This Open Educational Resource (OER) provides a concise visual and textual guide to the six Creative Commons license types and the public domain dedication (CC0). Designed as a printable and digital poster, it clearly outlines the permissions, restrictions, and attribution requirements of each license, enabling learners and educators to make informed decisions when creating, sharing, and reusing content.
As part of the Digital Publishing Essentials collection, this resource can be integrated into classrooms, workshops, and online learning environments to promote ethical content use and digital literacy. It is complemented by real-world application examples and assessment exercises, making it suitable for both self-study and guided instruction. The OER is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) license, encouraging adaptation and redistribution for non-commercial purposes while ensuring attribution and share-alike use.
